316L stainless steel plate for chemical industry

Material characteristics:

Classification of stainless steel plates

 

Classification by organizational structure:


Austenitic stainless steel plates: have good corrosion resistance, plasticity and toughness, non-magnetic or weak magnetism. For example, 304 and 316 series stainless steel plates.
 

Ferritic stainless steel plates: have magnetism, good corrosion resistance, and better oxidation resistance than austenitic stainless steel. For example, 430 stainless steel plates.
Martensitic stainless steel plates: have high strength and hardness, but relatively poor corrosion resistance. Common ones are 410 and 420 stainless steel plates.

 

Classification by surface characteristics:
2B stainless steel plates: after cold rolling, heat treatment and pickling, the surface is darker silver-white.
BA stainless steel plates: have high surface brightness, and have good surface gloss after bright annealing.
8K stainless steel plates: after grinding and polishing, the surface is as bright as a mirror.
Frosted stainless steel plates: the surface has a frosted texture, which increases friction and aesthetics.

 

Classification by thickness:
Thin plates: the thickness is usually between 0.2 - 4mm.
Medium plate: The thickness is generally around 4 - 20mm.
Thick plate: The thickness is greater than 20mm.

 

Classification by use:
